On 2nd August 2023 peacefully at Bradford Royal Infirmary, Arthur John aged 88 years of East Bierley. Much loved husband of the late Hazel, dear dad to Andrea and father -in-law to Shaun, a devoted grandad to Emelye and Jude, a dear brother, cousin and uncle. The funeral service will be held on Thursday 7th September at St Paul’s Church in Birkenshaw at 11am followed by a private family committal at Dewsbury Crematorium. Family flowers only but if desired donations in memory of John may be given to Macmillan Cancer Support. A collection box will be at the service for this purpose. John was a central figure in the life of the Spenborough Flower Fund Homes for over 50 years. He gave freely of his time and his advice and guidance were much sought after and gave great benefit to the association. He was a wonderful colleague to work with and will be sorely missed.
