Peacefully following a short illness at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, Laura aged 86 years of Liversedge and Holmfirth. Much loved wife of David, loving mum of Janine & David, a dear mother-in-law, cherished grandma & great grandma, a special sister & auntie also a good friend to many. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Huddersfield Crematorium on Wednesday 17th July at 11:15am, please meet at the crematorium, family flowers only by request but if desired donations may be made in memory of Laura for Sheffield Children’s Hospital, a collection box will be at the service for this purpose. A truly amazing woman who had me laughing every time we went on a rugby trip. I'm glad you got to meet both my children and you loved telling them stories about me when I was younger. My dad would always try and wind you up but you always put him in place, and you made me laugh when we came round with the sweets and you would never eat the jelly babies as you always said you felt awful eating there heads. Rest in peace sending lots of love to David and all your family xxxxx
So sorry to hear the news you’d passed away. Our family have such fond memories of you on the many rugby trips we went on. We had many a laugh and the banter you had with Richard. Always there supporting the girls in whatever they were doing and taking an interest. A lovely kind friend who will be missed by us all. Sending love to David and the rest of the family xxx
