1memories for Phillip Williams
Grandad you was such an important part of my childhood, and losing you feels like losing a piece of home. Some of my happiest memories are of being a little girl with my younger sister, staying with you and grandma in Hull and Bridlington driving on the big Humber bridge. I remember walking along the beach searching for fossils and seashells, so excited by every little thing we found. Looking back now, I realise the real treasure was the time we spent with you. I remember sitting looking out at the sea, eating ham sandwiches and crinkled crisps with a flask of tea in the car, they were such simple moments, but you and grandma made them feel so special, warm, and full of love. I still smile thinking about the funny little things too, like eating your brown Rizla papers because I thought they tasted nice. What I will miss most are his hugs and the smell of you the comfort and warmth that only you could give. I would give anything for one more hug. My grandad gave us so many beautiful memories that I will carry with me forever. I will miss him deeply and love him always. Love you forever, Sophie x x x
