OATES Roger John
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on 28th May 2026, aged 74 years.
A dearly loved dad of Katie and Clare and much loved grandad of Isabelle, Connor and Erin. Roger will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to meet at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Batley, on Wednesday 17th June at 10.00am, followed by cremation at Dewsbury Crematorium and refreshments at Batley Nash.
Family flowers only by request, but if desired donations in memory of Roger may be given to the Alzheimer’s Society. A collection box will be available at the service.

I worked for Roger in his fish shop back in the good old days he was a great boss to work for, a lovely bloke, sending love and thoughts to Katie and Clare and family at this really sad and difficult time, love to you all, Colette Luke, Jasmine. RiP Roger.
