A great childhood friend. Although we were apart by miles, we'll always be together in hearts and very fond memories.

A true friend and brother for more years than I can count. Simon was there in times of trouble and joy , to be fair he usually had a hand in the cause of both too.only Simon could shut a club door on a satan slave and leave us both stood in a quickly emptying corridor just before we were to be killed and buried he claimed it was because "he couldn't hear what HE was saying" the HE he was talking about turned out to be skabies it's from the damned got us a few drinks and a good laugh in the beir Keller. God bless you cogan

I never had the chance to spend many moments with Simon, however the ones we got to share I will cherish, as they were filled with laughter and happy smiles. Like me, Simon loved animals a great deal and this little poem I am sure he would appreciate; On earth exists a paradise, Beyond an animal's eyes it lies, That pure fresh love so uncorrupt, Conversations they never interrupt, Open your eyes oh humans all, And listen to the animals' call, Better people you will be, I promise you, if you only see, That on earth exists a paradise, Beyond an animal's eyes it lies. Rest in peace Simon xXx

Smon Cogan, what can I say about him? Doc, Coggie, Mr C refer to him as you wish but there is only one word that describes him more than anything and that is gentleman. A kind natured, patient, gentleman who never had a cross word with anyone and for anyone: he treated everyone with dignity + respect. Even my Union rep confessed on Friday that he's one of the very few people that he hasn't had an argument with, WOW! You may have been torn away from life way too early but we should all be grateful for the time that we did get to share with you. The Depot is already missing the aroma of spicy chicken wings + that sausage you used to eat by the bucket full and even tobacco, although I never did approve of your trips for fresh air or to check that the fence was still there! You would have been smiling on Friday as crews arrived wearing ties: they never wear ties, polished shoes: they never polish their shoes + clean vans albeit a tickle with a sponge + some water apparently constitutes a clean + all that was done for you . Other than the Queen visiting Leeds I'm not sure we'll see that again so I thank you for that. I'm waiting to hear the cries of ''sorry Boss, Simon normally did that'' and ''sorry Boss, that was in Simons' file' over the next couple of weeks and months as you get the blame for things not being done or updated. No change there then but at least whilst you are being blamed you are being remembered + you will not be forgotten. May you rest in peace Simon Cogan, Doc, Coggie, Mr C + may your spirit live on in your 3 children who did you really proud on Friday. x
